Providing training is an important SAIF service to producers, which in turn improves the effectiveness of the workers' compensation system for everyone.

SAIF is a continuing education provider. Many of our courses are registered with the state Insurance Division for agent continuing education credit hours. Registration of courses does not imply endorsement by the Insurance Division.

    Generations and work styles [CEC REG]

    The workforce is filled with people of all skill levels, working styles, and generational perspectives. To ensure a dynamic and safe work environment that transcends these differences, strategic knowledge-sharing becomes a top priority. In this session, we learn about the four work styles, along with generational differences and similarities. We focus on how to use this knowledge to enhance communication and provide a workplace that is inclusive, diverse, and most of all fun for everyone.

    SAIF | Who we are, what is workers' comp [CEC REG]

    In the first hour of Controlling your costs series, we discuss rates, including who sets your rates, the formula for workers' comp premium, the pure rate, and SAIF's influence on rate tiers. Also covered is the Assigned Risk Plan, experience rating modifier, ER mod base period and ER mod worksheet, and SAIF service center plans: Claims Rating Plan, SAIFPlus Plan, and OGSERP. The first hour of class concludes with a discussion on the formula for workers' comp premium and how to control your costs.  

    In hour two of the Controlling your cost series, we review claim filing, influencing the costs, and ways to improve claim outcomes. 

    Each course/hour is approved for 1 agent regular CEC.
