SAIF vendors

Bidding and contracting

SAIF is committed to doing business with the vendor community fairly and openly.

As the premier insurer of Oregon businesses for their workers' compensation needs, SAIF also is committed to helping grow Oregon's economy by hiring Oregon contractors and local businesses whenever it is economically feasible.

Bidding opportunities

SAIF is a member of the Oregon Cooperative Procurement Participation Program (ORCPP), and has access to statewide contracts and price agreements negotiated by the Oregon Department of Administrative Services (DAS).

The bidding and contracting statutes, prevailing wage laws, and most administrative rules that govern public and state agencies are not applicable to SAIF. However, we typically conduct competitive solicitations, including requests for proposal (RFPs) and invitations to bid (ITBs), and award contracts based on clearly stated criteria.

We advertise many of our solicitations on DAS's Oregon Procurement Information Network (ORPIN). We encourage vendors who want to be notified of opportunities for doing business with SAIF to register with ORPIN.

SAIF values diversity and the inclusion of underrepresented groups in both its workforce and in its business partners. We encourage emerging small businesses and businesses owned by minorities, women, and disabled service veterans to register with Oregon's Certification Office for Business Inclusion and Diversity (COBID), and to let us know of this status when responding to SAIF solicitations.

Go to the COBID website for more information about this program.
