Volunteers

Volunteers of political subdivisions – public entities such as cities or school districts – are not automatically covered by the subdivision's workers' compensation policy.

Reporting a workplace injury

As you know, medical treatment for a workplace injury must be reported to the insurer in order for the claim to be reviewed quickly.

IMEs

Independent medical examinations (IMEs) are performed by a physician or other health care provider who is not involved in the injured worker's treatment. IMEs are done at the request of the insurer to clarify medical or legal issues.
