Safety Alert: MTD Southwest Inc. Recalls Troy-Bilt, Craftsman Chain Saws, Breaking Handles Pose Laceration Hazard

On November 28, 2006, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation MTD Southwest Inc., announced a voluntary recall of several models of Troy-Bilt and Craftsman chain saws.

Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately, and contact MTD to receive a free service kit with a replacement handle and installation instructions. More information can be viewed in the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s new release.
