Jim Ford of Ashland is the newest member of SAIF Corporation's board of directors.
Ford's term began on July 1, 2010. He replaces John Anhorn, who retired after eight years of service on the board.
Ford is President and Chief Executive Officer for PremierWest Bancorp and its subsidiary, PremierWest Bank. He also serves on the board of the Oregon Bankers Association.
"I look forward to working with the experienced board members and staff at SAIF," Ford said. "It is an honor to join such a well-run organization. I look forward to providing input on SAIF's strategic direction during my term."
Ford earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Oregon and also is a graduate of the University of Washington's Pacific Coast Banking School.
He is active in the southern Oregon community, serving on the boards of Southern Oregon University, Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development, Inc., and the Oregon Club of Southern Oregon.
Ford was appointed by Governor Ted Kulongoski and confirmed by the Oregon State Senate earlier this year. Board members' terms are four years.
