Ralph Martinez Attends First Board Meeting Today
Salem OR - Portland-area auto dealer Rafael “Ralph” Martinez joined the SAIF Corporation board of directors today for his first meeting. Martinez was appointed by Governor Ted Kulongoski on December 20 and confirmed by the State Senate on January 19.
Martinez is the chief executive officer of the Town & Country auto dealerships. The company sells Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, Mitsubishi, and Chevrolet products.
Born and raised in New York City, Martinez and his family moved to Oregon 20 years ago. He started with a single dealership and now employs about 250 people at multiple locations.
Town & Country dealerships were ranked in the “Top 20 Best Companies to Work For in Oregon” in the 2005 Oregon Business magazine Top 100 survey.
Martinez holds a position designated for a SAIF policyholder. His term ends November 21, 2008.
