Loss control programs

Our expert staff is constantly innovating, creating new tools and practices to help you make your workplace safe. Our team includes certified safety professionals, associates in risk management, associates in loss control management, and certified industrial hygienists who average over 17 years of occupational safety and health experience.
  • Workplace hazard and safety systems assessment Our safety management professionals can help you assess workplace hazards and provide assistance to improve safety. Our goal is to reduce your associated loss costs and prevent the pain, suffering, and disruption associated with workplace injuries.

  • Manager loss control guides Our safety management professionals, working with industry experts nationwide, create the most useful and effective resources in safety program management. The guides provide: risk management advice, resources, and sample forms, as well as policy guidance in employee relations, regulatory compliance, safety basics, claims management, and industry safety challenges.

Our industry specific guides are designed for the agricultural, automotive, construction, health care, hotel/motel, and restaurant industries. We also have a general guide for businesses not included in our industry specific guides.

  • Ergonomic work site evaluations We can recommend simple, affordable workplace design changes and teach you how to establish your own ergonomics program.

You may qualify for assistance through the Employer-at-Injury Program (EAIP), which helps employers offset the cost of providing temporary, transitional work for injured workers with Oregon accepted claims. Benefits include $2500 for worksite modification purchases if all eligibility requirements are met. Use of the program does not affect your premium or claims costs. Your return-to-work consultant can provide you with further information about EAIP.

  • OSHA code compliance As part of our hazard assessment, our expert safety management consultants can provide recommendations to enhance your compliance programs. We can help you implement your own safety committee, or help determine if your business is required to have one.

  • And more Our loss control staff can also help identify key trends, provide hazard analysis, employment risk management (hiring practices), targeted loss control service for employers with adverse loss trends, industry-specific assistance, and our behavioral safety training program: the SAIF Loss Control Approach.

Industrial hygiene

Our industrial hygiene staff provides assistance which may include investigation of occupational health related claims and industrial hygiene and safety evaluations to assess physical and chemical hazards in the workplace.
