Nondisabling claims reimbursement statements available online
Here's how it works:
Simply log in to Business Online with your user ID and password. Select Policyholder Profile and choose ND Reimb from the menu. You'll instantly see which claims qualify and the amount that can be reimbursed to SAIF. If you'd like more details about a particular claim, click on the claim number to open Claim Profile and view detailed claim information.
SAIF will continue to mail participants quarterly statements that can be returned to SAIF with payment; at this time, SAIF cannot accept reimbursement payments online. After we've processed your payment, the ND Reimb page will display a 'paid' status for each claim that has been reimbursed.
About the program
The Nondisabling Claims Reimbursement Program allows enrolled SAIF policyholders to reimburse SAIF for medical expenses up to $1,500 for each accepted nondisabling claim. Under this option, participants can totally eliminate or partially reduce claim costs from future consideration in determining experience modifications or other charges such as retrospective billings based on losses.Participation in the Nondisabling Claims Reimbursement program does not allow participants to avoid filing a claim; all policyholders are required by law to submit a completed Report of Occupational Injury or Disease (form 801) immediately upon learning of an injury. Once we receive the form, we'll determine eligibility for benefits, audit medical bills, and otherwise ensure that the claim is processed accurately and in a timely fashion.
Each quarter we mail participating employers a statement listing their qualifying reimbursable medical expenses for that period. Participants have the option to pay all, part, or none of the qualifying expenses by indicating the amount they wish to reimburse for each eligible claim.
