Between the seasonal flu and the H1N1 flu, experts predicted that this would be an especially tough flu season. They were right.
The key to staying healthy is prevention. Stop the spread of germs, and you stop the flu in its tracks. If all employeesat all levelsdo these four things, it will be very difficult for the flu to take up residence in your workplace:
- Get a flu shot.
- Wash your hands regularly with soap and running water.
- Cover your coughs and sneezes.
- If you are sick, stay home!
It also helps to dispose of used tissues promptly and properly; avoid contact with sick people; and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
