For years, SAIF's new policyholders have received a "Toolbox" filled with information about workers' compensation insurance. It included detailed information about the policy, payroll reporting, workplace safety, claims management, return-to-work programs, and more.
In addition to the Toolbox, the Employer Guide on SAIF's website, saif.com, covers information on many of these same topics. It seemed like there had to be a more streamlined solution. Watch the short (five minute) demo that summarizes the changes.
Toolbox and saif.com merge
Now there is. We have merged the relevant information from the Toolbox into the Employer Guide on saif.com, enhancing the site with expanded information and resources and making it easier and faster for you to find the information you need.
Not only will all the information be conveniently located in one place, it will no longer be necessary to enter a policy number or register for Business Online in order to access this information. It will all be available on saif.com in the Employer Guide.
New safety and payroll reporting sections
One of the biggest improvements to the Employer Guide is an entirely new Safety section with a more complete list of resources. You'll be able to quickly access information on approximately 50 specific topics such as human resource best practices air contaminants, asbestos, and ladder safety. Each topic will have its own web page with a list of related publications, videos, trainings, news articles, and websites.
Another significant improvement to the Employer Guide is the Reporting payroll section. This section provides step-by-step instructions on reporting payroll, answers some of the most frequently asked questions about whom and what to include on reports, explains classification procedures, and much more.
Search and print functions change
In addition to the content changes in the Employer Guide, improvements have been made to the search and print functionality throughout saif.com, including the Agent Guide. From now on, you'll be able to easily search from every page on the site, and the printed page style will be redesigned and available in PDF format. You'll also be able to subscribe to changes on the website using an RSS feed.
New SAIF policyholders will continue to receive a packet from SAIF with all the necessary information about their policy and a menu to the online Employer Guide. It will also include a print request form for those employers that do not have internet access.
