Introducing saifQuote, our online submission system

When we asked agents last year to provide feedback about our operations, they wanted faster response time in processing submissions. We agreed, and today we are pleased to introduce saifQuote, our new, automated, online submission system.

Based on the ACORD form, the saifQuote online submission and quote process allows our agents to enter a submission and receive a quote for certain types of businesses (and even bind it) on the same day — often within minutes. saifQuote is easy to use and includes the following valuable features. Key saifQuote features

• Instant online "no touch" quotes for certain types of businesses.
• Step-by-step checklist: It appears at the top of the screen and lists the steps needed to complete a saifQuote submission.
• Agent Worklist: Check the status of submissions, find the underwriter assigned to a submission, and find a policy number.
• Resource links: Links to information agents need to complete a submission
• Class Search: Agents said the ability to search for classes by code or keyword would save lots of time. Class Search also searches by description and displays the class paragraph.
• Context-sensitive help: Just roll over the Help icon at each field with the mouse for more information.
• Class-related questions: In response to agent input, saifQuote is customized to display class-related questions in addition to the standard SAIF questions. No more back-and-forth.

saifQuote is capable of handling more complex submissions; if the submission doesn't qualify for an instant, no-touch quote, the agent will be told why, and to whom, the submission has been assigned for further workup.

The next installment of saifQuote will accept applications directly from the most common agency management systems, eliminating the need to enter the information in both.

How to use saifQuote

• Beginning April 28, sign onto Business Online in the Agent Guide on saif.com
• Choose the saifQuote option in the menu
• Select the New Submission option

saifQuote will be demonstrated at SAIF's Workers' Compensation Seminar in Salem on April 16, and will be presented to our agents on April 28.
